If all connectivity looks good on both the remote and local routers and customers voice is not working at all, I would suggest an extended ping between Loopback 323's on both routers and then try pinging the primary Gatekeeper from the local router.

1. The bottom 4 entries are very similiar....The highlighted line means that if the router gets anything that starts with 791 it will send it down port 1/0:0 as the first preference, the line below states that as a 2nd preference use port 2/0:0. The following 2 lines state a similiar thing except this is for phone numbers starting with 792. What we can ascertain from these four lines is that the local numbers for this site start with 791 and 792.

2. The .T states that for anything other that 791 or 792 then the router will need to get more information from the Gatekeepers. The 2 IP addresses are the Gatekeepers. The Gatekeepers keep dial plans for all customers. More information on the Gatekeepers below.

GATEKEEPERS

The Gatekeepers keep a list of all numbers for each customer. When a customer router receives a request for a call and it is mapped to ".T" it will request more information from the Gatekeeper. The Gatekeeper translates a telephone number prefix to an Ip address and advises the router, the router will then route the traffic as per normal and the Gatekeepers participation is finished for that call.

There are 2 Gatekeepers

Paris 57.210.105.204
Reston 57.210.105.236

If you want to ping to Gatekeepers then you need to use the Loopback 323 address of the router as the source

The following website will take give you the information that the GK's use

http://57.210.105.230/voipvpnMgt/index.html
Login: gcsc
P/W: gcsc#gen

1. Go to VPN data and find your customer - click on the customer
2. Click on VPN site data and this will list all the voice routers for that customer.
3. Click on the router you require
4. You can now go through the tabs to find out more information.

Best info is under the "Site Gateway Group" which shows the max amount of calls allowed at one time, and the IP address of Loopback323 (voice loopback). This other good tab is "Site Extensions".

Cisco Interactive 3D Products how the cisco products look like b4 buying

Go to the CISCO site and type “Interactive 3D” and the model number of equipment you are interested in.

This is a fantastic tool that our engineers and support teams can use to see what the physical equipment looks like before they go to site. The model allows you to move, turn, tilt, zoom, measure, and do just about anything but physically touch the equipment. It will even demonstrate removal of cards and let you zoom in on

Cisco CAT4 or CAT6 router IOS update

Steps:

1) Power up Cat4506E as normal
2) (ip add management int vlan1) Use tftp method to copy the image into bootflash:
3) Issue command config-register 0x2102 (the switch default register is 0x2101, it means the switch will always auto-boot from 1st available file inside bootflash: which is normally the old image)
(define which image that you want to boot it from)
4) Issue command boot system flash bootflash:cat4500-entservices-mz.122-46.SG.bin
5) Save config and reload switch; make sure the switch is able to boot with the new image (show version)
6) Issue command config-register 0x2101
7) Delete old image from bootflash: (delete bootflash:)
8) Free up space for bootflash: (squeeze bootflash: )
9) Issue command no boot system flash bootflash:cat4500-entservices-mz.122-46.SG.bin
10) Save config and reload again

Upgrading/recovering Cisco router IOS using a laptop compact flash reader

if you want faster loading ios to CF card? and if you don't have tftp server, console cable, console port etc..

you can copy ios to CF card directly from laptop card reader.
then just put it back to router and reboot it.

check dir or show version after booted.
